Aberdeen Cyrenians announced that they will organise a festive trail from the 11th of December until Christmas day.

The charity is inviting the community to create their own winter wonderland at the front of their house by putting up lights and tinsel. Participating households can also display a QR code in their garden to let visitors donate money for the charity.

The locations taking part in the trail will be added on the Facebook page and a downloadable trail map will be available in exchange of a small donation.

The decorated location that gets the most likes on the charity’s Facebook page and the one that raises the most funds will be awarded a prize.

The charity says that the event is the opportunity to “celebrate the special place that home has in our lives”, especially in a time where socialising outside is restricted.

All donations will help the charity in their fight to support people suffering from social exclusion.
